Read this before you buy
The original Brook + Wilde entity went into liquidation in 2023. The brand relaunched under a new company, Brook + Wilde Sleep Limited, company number 15019544. That is a legal fact, verifiable free at Companies House.
What it means practically: a guarantee is a contract with a company. When a company is liquidated, obligations under that contract do not automatically transfer to whoever buys the brand name. If you own a pre-2023 Brook + Wilde and are researching a claim, your position may be weaker than the guarantee document suggests.
If you are buying new, you are buying from an entity with a shorter trading history than the guarantee period it is offering.
This is why every Brook + Wilde review on this site scores 4 or 5 on trial and guarantee despite the stated terms reading well. It is not a criticism of the mattresses, which are generally well built. It is an assessment of what the guarantee is contractually worth.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 sit with the retailer who sold you the mattress and run up to six years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Those survive whatever happens to a manufacturer, and here they are the more reliable protection.
The higher you go, the worse the problem gets
The corporate history compounds with price, and it is worth explaining why.
On a £595 mattress, a guarantee is a nice-to-have. Six years of statutory protection covers most of the realistic lifespan and the guarantee is a bonus.
On a £2,795 mattress you are buying an expectation of fifteen to twenty years of service, and six years of statutory protection covers less than half of it. The remainder rests entirely on the manufacturer still being there.
That is why the Perla at £2,795 scores lowest in the range on trial and guarantee and carries the lowest value score on this site. At that budget you are competing with Vispring, Hypnos, Harrison Spinks and Millbrook, several of whom have traded for over a century.
Which Brook + Wilde, if any?
The Elite at £995, on a substantial discount. Around 3,000 springs at 28 centimetres is genuinely good construction and the build quality is not in question.
Not the Lux. Medium soft with around 1,000 springs is the wrong combination: on a soft surface you sink, so regions of springs respond as groups, the heaviest parts sink together and the spine bends. Soft mattresses need high spring counts.
Not the Perla. At £2,795 the comparison is against hand-built British bedmakers and the boxed hybrid does not answer it.
For the same money as the Elite, Otty's Pure Pro gives you the same 3,000 springs at £540 from a company with an unbroken trading history, which on a ten year guarantee matters.

Any review discussing the ten year guarantee without that context is describing a promise without describing who is making it, and at premium prices institutional durability is a substantial part of what the buyer is paying for.
Should you buy from Brook + Wilde?
The mattresses are well made and the brand is a difficult recommendation. On a substantial discount the Elite is a reasonable purchase if you understand that your protection is statutory rather than contractual.
