Corrections, questions and challenges are all welcome, and corrections are logged publicly.
Reporting a correction
If something on this site is wrong, say so and it will be fixed.
The most useful reports include the page, the specific claim, and what you believe the correct position is. A source helps and is not required.
Corrections are logged publicly on the corrections page, including what was wrong and when it changed. A site that never corrects anything is not being read carefully by its author.
If you are a brand or retailer
Factual corrections are welcome and will be handled the same way as any other, on the merits.
To save time, the following are declined as a matter of policy and are set out in full in the affiliate policy:
Paid placements, sponsored reviews, copy approval, pre-publication review, and payment for inclusion in a roundup.
Two things that will change a page: publishing a specification you currently withhold, particularly foam density or spring count by size, and changing the construction. Scores follow products rather than brands, and several entries on the products I will not recommend page would be reassessed on a published density figure.
Buying questions
Specific personal buying advice cannot be given individually, and the site is structured to answer most of it.
Start with how to choose a mattress, which works through the four variables that decide the answer: your weight, your sleeping position, your base, and firmness.
If a question keeps coming up, it becomes a page, which is more useful than answering it once.
What this site cannot help with
Medical questions need a clinician
This site publishes general information about sleep and bedding. It cannot give medical advice, assess symptoms, or tell you whether a product is suitable for a specific condition.
A GP, pharmacist, physiotherapist or health visitor is the right person for those questions. For sleep that has been poor for weeks, that means a GP, and what happens next is theirs to judge: the NHS says cognitive behavioural therapy is sometimes offered, not that it is the standard first step. This site is in no position to say which applies to you.
Legal questions about a faulty product are the same: Citizens Advice is the right starting point, and the accountability page sets out the general position on statutory rights.
Complaints about this site
If you believe a disclosure is inadequate, a claim is unsupported, or a page is misleading, raise it directly. It will be reviewed and, if the criticism is right, corrected and logged.
The standards this site holds itself to are set out on the editorial independence page and in the research and testing policy.

How this site works
Nothing here is paid for by a brand. No manufacturer has copy approval, a preview, or the ability to change a score, and where a link earns a commission that never changes a ranking.
Where a brand does not publish a specification, that is stated rather than estimated, because an absent number is itself information. The corrections log and the products I will not recommend page are both public.
