Why this page exists
Newspapers publish corrections. Almost no affiliate site does, which is one reason the category has a trust problem. If I get something wrong, you should be able to see it, and you should be able to see how often it happens.
The log
No corrections have been recorded yet. This site relaunched recently and the log starts empty rather than being padded to look established.

What gets logged here
- A factual error about a product: wrong depth, wrong spring count, wrong price, wrong firmness, wrong materials.
- A claim about a brand or company that turns out to be inaccurate.
- A recommendation withdrawn because the product changed, was discontinued, or turned out to be worse than I judged.
- A misreading of warranty or trial terms.
Routine updates are not corrections and are not logged here. A price changing, a model being added to a range, or a section being rewritten more clearly is maintenance. The "last updated" date on each page covers those.
Reporting an error
Email info@themattressguide.co.uk with the page and what is wrong. If you have a source, include it. Corrections are made as soon as they are verified, usually within a couple of days, and logged here at the same time.
This applies to brands as much as readers. If a review misstates a specification, send the documentation and it will be fixed. Requests to soften a verdict are a different thing and are covered on the editorial independence page.

How do I report an error?
Email info@themattressguide.co.uk with the page and what is wrong, including a source if you have one. Corrections are usually made within a couple of days of being verified and logged here at the same time. Brands are welcome to do the same.
