In this Brook and Wilde Elite mattress review, we jump onto the grandest mattress offered by Brook and Wilde. After the wildly popular Brook and Wilde Lux mattress they have now brought out a second mattress that is superior in innovation and design.

What we can already say in this Brook and Wilde Elite mattress review, is that it's definitely the mattress you will want in your bedroom and not in the spare room

Let's get started (SUMMARY AT THE END).

Brook and Wilde Elite Mattress Construction

Now if you thought the Brook + Wilde Lux mattress had many layers, take a look at the Elite. The Brook and Wilde Elite mattress has the most layers from all the mattresses we have reviewed. The 8 layers (including the cover) make this hybrid mattress one of the most complex and innovative mattresses on the UK market right now. If you need a mattress with a bit more spring than foam only mattresses, this Elite Brook and Wilde mattress may be an option.

The Brook + Wilde Elite mattress is proudly designed and manufactured here in the UK.

Brook and Wilde Elite Cover

The Elite cover is where practicality meets luxury. Brook and Wilde have now made the cover machine washable (up to 30 degrees), no more tiresome spot cleaning or expensive professional cleaners to do the dirty work. Brook and Wilde have also incorporated side handles onto the cover so you can now easily turn or manoeuver the mattress.

What's also important to point out is the non-slip base of the cover, that way you can rest assured your mattress is staying put during the night.

Brook and Wilde Elite Mattress Layers

1. Top Memory Foam Layer

This memory foam protector is strategically placed just beneath the top cover which ensures free movement of the cover but also so you receive the full benefits from the pressure-relieving memory foam.

2. Thermo-Regulating Layer

This is a very interesting layer as it contains a blend of soybean oil and a refreshing natural balm. This layer is also engineered and designed with an open-cell structure, which basically means there are more micro air pockets in the foam. This provides a higher rate of moisture evaporation when compared to traditional foam layers so your mattress stays cooler for longer and you are always sleeping in the optimal sleeping climate.

3. 2,500 Mini Pocket Springs

If you are looking for a spring in your step this is the layer to provide that. 2,500 mini springs moving independently to always give you the right amount of responsiveness and pushback at the right pressure points.

4. Wave Layer

Adding density and depth to the upper layers of the mattress to ensure excellent spinal alignment and offer optimal shoulder support.

5. Full-Size Spring Layer

Most mattresses these days rely on a thick dense foam base as the overall mattress support, the Brook and Wilde Elite mattresses support come from a further 1,000 135mm pocket springs. This is something you will have to try out if you enjoy more the dense foam support or the pushback from full-sized springs.

6. Base Layer

This final layer is used for the rest of the layers to sit on and support the above spring layer.

How Thick Is the Brook and Wilde Elite Mattress?

All in all the Elite is 28cm thick, which is just 3cm taller than the average mattress depth, but rest assured your current bedsheets should fit. If you were wondering what the maximum weight the Elite mattress can hold, it will hold up to 18 stone or 114kg per person (based on two people).

Brook and Wilde Elite Mattress Firmness

Another area where Brook and Wilde differentiate themselves is that they offer 3 degrees of firmness instead of a one size fits all approach. Brook and Wilde wanted to throw out 3 options so you can choose which is best for you depending on your personal preferences. From our Brook and Wilde Elite mattress review, we have placed the firmness ranges from 4-7.

Mattress Design

We are a big fan of the Brook and Wilde Lux mattress look which is almost identical to the Elite look. The only exception is that instead of the orange trim it is now replaced with a fresh turquoise trim. Again just restating its luxury and class.

Brook and Wilde Elite Trial Period and Warranty

Additionally Brook and Wilde offer a 100-night trial so you can take your time to decide if this mattress is the perfect match for you or not. Brook and Wilde will deliver your Elite mattress (free) and even if requested remove your old/current mattress you have at home (free). This means you have just over 3 months to sleep on the Elite in the comfort of your own home risk-free.

We always recommend you try out every mattress for a minimum of 3 weeks but if you still feel the mattress is not the one for you, you can request a firmness change (Firmer or softer) or request them to collect the mattress and a full refund of your purchase price.

To ensure you are also covered in the long run, Brook and Wilde have also given each mattress a 10-year guarantee. This is always great to see as a mattress can be seen as an investment.

Service is an area Brook and Wilde are truly proud of and the customer reviews coming soon down the page testify to this.

Mattress Delivery & Box

Another area where Brook and Wilde truly shine. The mattress is vacuum-sealed and packed in a simple 100cm x 50cm 50cm box for easy delivery and transportation. The delivery time frame is within 3 business days.

A 2-man delivery service will bring the mattress to your room of choice, this is not common (especially when it's free). This is a great service for those who also may have trouble moving the mattress upstairs. Don't forget the service can take away your old mattress if need be at an extra fee of around £25.

If you are needing a 2-hour delivery window, you can choose this option at the checkout page. On the day of delivery, the driver will pre-call you to give a heads up 30 minutes before they arrive. That way you will never miss the delivery.

Additionally, Saturday delivery is also possible but this will depend on your location.
