What actually separates a good hybrid from a bad one
Since hybrid is the category you were looking at, here is the framework I use across every review on this site. Four questions, in order of importance.
1. How tall are the springs, and where do they sit? This is the one that matters most and the one nobody asks. Otty's springs are 16 centimetres and form the support core. Simba's Aerocoils are 25 millimetres and sit in the comfort layers above a separate base, which on the standard Simba Hybrid is foam. Both are springs doing entirely different jobs, so a mattress advertising 4,800 springs can contain less structural spring than one advertising 2,000.
2. Is the base sprung or foam? A hybrid with a foam support core is a foam mattress with springs on top. That is not necessarily bad, and it is not what most buyers think they are getting.
3. How many springs, in what size? Between roughly 1,000 and 2,000 in a king is where most people should be. Below about 800 they respond as groups. Above 2,000, manufacturers use thinner wire in smaller units, trading individual spring strength for finer contouring, which suits plush mattresses and adds little on firm ones.
4. Are the edges reinforced? Rarely stated, and it decides whether you can sit on the side to put your shoes on in year four.
Ask those four about any hybrid and you will be ahead of the marketing on all of them.
UK hybrids worth looking at
Casper's proposition was a mainstream hybrid with a long trial from a recognisable brand. Several UK brands do that better and can actually deliver to you.

The useful questions are how tall the springs are and whether the base is sprung or foam, neither of which the word hybrid answers.
