Simba Discount Codes
Simba gave binding undertakings to the CMA in 2024 about how it advertises discounts, which makes its was prices more meaningful than most in this category.

Short answer
Simba discounts heavily and often, and gave binding undertakings to the CMA in August 2024 about how it advertises those discounts. The result is that Simba's "was" prices are now more meaningful than most in the category, which cuts both ways: the discounts look smaller and are more real.

What to expect, by route
Every figure below is a range I have seen rather than a promise. Discounts in this category move constantly, and the point of the table is to tell you what good looks like so you know whether the offer in front of you is worth taking or worth waiting out.
| Route | Typical | Best I have seen | Worth taking? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Site-wide sale | 25% on the entry models, up to 30% on the deeper builds | 30% across the Hybrid Ultra, Luxe and Pro | Yes. Simba rarely goes deeper, and its was prices are constrained. |
| Community heroes scheme | Up to 31% off everything | 31%, which is above the standard sale | Yes, and it covers more people than most schemes |
| Who qualifies | Key workers, teachers, carers, military, disabled people, students, youths and charity workers | Same rate across all groups | One of the broadest eligibility lists in the category |
| Refurbished | Roughly half the new price or better | A refurbished Hybrid Ultra has listed at around £699 against £1,749 new | The best value in Simba's catalogue, if stock exists |
| Clearance lines | Deep, but on discontinued builds | Older Zoned foam models well under £250 | Fine for a spare room, and they sell out |
| Black Friday | Similar to the standard sale rather than dramatically deeper | Around 30% plus bundled accessories | Marginal. Simba's undertakings limit how big the headline can get. |
| Amazon UK | Variable, sometimes below the direct price | Occasionally undercuts the site on the standard Hybrid | Check the seller. The 200 night trial applies direct only. |
| Bensons for Beds | In-store pricing differs from online | Store-only bundle offers appear periodically | Worth a visit, because you can lie on one first |
Why Simba's discounts look different now
In August 2024 Simba settled with the Competition and Markets Authority by giving undertakings. Two commitments matter to you as a buyer. Any "was" price must be a genuine previous selling price supported by sufficient sales volume, and countdown clocks must not give the impression you need to act immediately to secure a discount.
That is unusual in this sector and worth knowing. When Simba shows you a reference price, it has agreed to a higher standard for what that price means than a brand which has given no such undertaking.
The practical upshot
A 25 percent Simba discount and a 50 percent discount from a brand with an untested reference price are not comparable numbers. Compare the cash price and the specification, never the percentage.
Which part of the range to buy on offer
Simba's range now spans from the Hybrid Essential at four layers and 20 cm to the Hybrid Ultra at eleven layers, 34 cm and up to 7,300 springs. The discount percentage is usually similar across the range, which means the cash saving is far larger at the top.
My view on where the value sits: the Hybrid Pro is the sweet spot. It adds a wool comfort layer and a second spring layer over the standard Hybrid, and on offer it lands close to what the standard Hybrid costs at list. The Hybrid Ultra is a genuinely impressive piece of construction and very hard to justify financially unless the discount is at its deepest.
The Hybrid Essential is the one to be careful with. Four layers at 20 cm with up to 1,000 springs is a thin build, and at full price it competes badly against Origin and Otty. On a deep discount it is a reasonable guest room mattress.
| Model | Reference price from | Build | Discount worth chasing? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hybrid Essential | £549 | 4 layers, 20cm, up to 1,000 springs | Only at the deepest sale |
| Hybrid | £699 | 5 layers, 25cm, up to 1,900 springs | Yes, the volume seller |
| Hybrid Pro | £899 | 8 layers, 28cm, up to 4,800 springs | Yes, best value on offer |
| Hybrid Luxe | £1,249 | 9 layers, 31cm, up to 5,700 springs | Large cash saving, high entry price |
| Hybrid Ultra | £1,749 | 11 layers, 34cm, up to 7,300 springs | Only if you want the top of the range |
Simba's refurbished range is the real bargain
Simba sells refurbished versions of most of its range, and the prices are dramatically lower. A refurbished Hybrid Ultra sits at a fraction of the new price.
This is the most interesting thing on Simba's site and almost nobody writes about it. The mattresses are returns that have been inspected and re-covered. What you need to establish before buying is whether the trial and the guarantee still apply, because that is what you are trading away for the saving. Availability is also erratic, and several refurbished lines show as out of stock at any given time.
For a spare room, a refurbished Hybrid Pro at well under half price is the best value in Simba's catalogue by a wide margin.
Codes, schemes and what stacks
Simba runs its discounts through its own discount codes page and a separate discount page, and also operates schemes for specific groups. As with Emma, the question is never whether a code exists but whether it stacks with the sale already running. Usually it does not, and the sale is deeper.
Buying Simba in a shop
Simba has been sold through Bensons for Beds stores since May 2025, which matters for two reasons. You can lie on one before buying, which is worth more than any online description including mine. And the in-store price and the online price are not always the same, so it is worth checking both.
If you are at all uncertain about firmness, go and lie on one. Fifteen minutes in a shop tells you something no trial period can tell you until a month has passed.
Is Simba worth it on offer?
Yes, with one qualification. Simba builds genuinely well-specified hybrids and the spring counts are real rather than marketing. The Hybrid Pro on a decent discount is one of the better mattresses you can buy in the UK at that money.
The qualification is that Simba's entry-level models do not deserve the same confidence. The Hybrid Essential at 20 cm is a thin mattress, and the brand name does not change that. Buy Simba for the mid and upper range, or buy elsewhere.
Full details on each model are in the Simba range review, and if you are choosing between the two biggest brands, Emma against Simba covers it directly.
Questions people ask
Is there a Simba discount code?
Simba runs its own discount pages and the site-wide sale is usually as deep as any third party code. Codes rarely stack with an active sale. The larger saving is in Simba's refurbished range, where inspected and re-covered returns sell at a fraction of the new price.
Why are Simba's discounts smaller than Emma's?
Simba gave undertakings to the Competition and Markets Authority in August 2024 committing that any was price must be a genuine previous selling price supported by sufficient sales volume. That constrains how large a headline discount it can advertise, which makes the percentages smaller and the comparison more honest.
Which Simba mattress is best value on offer?
The Hybrid Pro. At 28cm with eight layers and up to 4,800 springs it adds a wool comfort layer and a second spring layer over the standard Hybrid, and on a decent discount it lands close to what the standard Hybrid costs at list price.
Can I try a Simba mattress in a shop?
Yes. Simba has been sold through Bensons for Beds stores since May 2025. Fifteen minutes lying on one tells you more about firmness than any online description, and in-store and online prices are not always the same, so check both.
