A pillow that seems to have come from the future that is adjustable to match nearly everyone’s sleeping habits? In this Simba hybrid pillow review, we take a closer look at what makes this Simba pillow worth a buy or not.
Simba has cemented their brand as amongst the best in the United Kingdom through its Simba Hybrid Mattress, will the pillow be equally as successful?. Let’s find out, below is the full Simba hybrid pillow review (SUMMARY AT THE END).
Simba Hybrid Pillow Construction
The so-called reinvented pillow was specifically made to be able to be used by anyone regardless if you a side, back or stomach sleeper, sort of like a tailored pillow just for you. Simba spent 1 year in designing and prototyping to try and achieve the most innovative pillow.
The stand out features are the nanotube technology in the centre of the pillow which allows you to adjust the height of the pillow and the OUTLAST® technology which was originally developed for NASA (yes, the space agency), but we will speak about this in more detail in the pillow layers.

Cover
The Simba pillow is divided into two halves. The top half incorporates innovative OUTLAST® technology which is Certified space technology, which in short utilises phase change materials that absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort. The bottom half of the cover is made from 100% jacquard cotton which is breathable and a natural cellulosic fibre.
In our opinion, it is one of the best-looking covers we have reviewed, the soft cover gives it a luxury look and the ventilation strip gives it a more futuristic look but also makes it very practical. Speaking of practicality, the Simba hybrid pillow also is removable and machine washable at up to 40 degrees. The Simba pillow cover is really impressive, what more would you want in a cover?

Simba Hybrid Pillow Layers
This unique pillow is made from 3 layers, one is fully customisable.
- Top duck down layer adds a touch of luxury. This layer makes the pillow extremely soft and the natural properties of duck down allow for great breathability.
- The middle layer is filled with hundreds of nanotubes. The nanotubes are made from visco-elastic memory foam which is perfect for contouring to your head. The nanotube area is aided by the meshed side panel to allow easy airflow to keep the temperature regulated. What also makes this layer special is that you can add or remove the tubes to get the perfect height which you like.
- Finally, the microfibre layer adds comfort and softness, durability and also happens to be anti-allergy.
Simba has always done things differently to the competition and the pillow is no different. The layer mix is a great combination.

Simba Pillow Support & Comfort
As previously mentioned the height of the Simba hybrid pillow is
Although the nanotubes do a great job in supporting the head this cannot be compared to other foam based pillows, the Simba pillow has a more of a wrapping and comforting feeling whereas foam pillows are sturdier and firm. If you do like a more softer pillow the Simba pillow may be a better option.
Below is the bag the pillow comes with to store your excess nanotubes. This is just another testament to the lengths they are willing to go to not only supply a great pillow but an extraordinary experience with the Simba brand.
