Eve Mattress Construction
The Eve mattress is a foam mattress made locally here in the United Kingdom. Eve follows the traditional 3 layer design, combining memory foam and polyfoams making it great for reducing motion transfer.
Eve places a huge emphasis on mattress quality and safety. All foams are CertiPUR® certified, this means all the foam materials are independently tested to ensure no harmful chemicals are used. The foams are all CFC and PBDE free (chemicals that break down the ozone layer). Moreover, Eve complies with ISO 9001 quality standards, which are stringent quality checks followed throughout the manufacturing process.
Additionally, Eve sources all of their raw materials from NBF (National Bed Federation) members. Ensuring the materials used meet the highest quality standards in the UK.
Eve Original Cover Review
The cover is very outspoken and is made from 98% polyester and 2% elastane. Polyester gives it a soft, stretchy feel and when combined with the honeycomb stitching is also very breathable. It is also hypoallergenic, this means that it is very unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. What's great to see is that the Eve mattress cover is Oekotex certified which means it is independently tested to ensure no harmful chemicals are used in the making of it.
The Eve mattress top cover is removable and machine washable at 40 degrees. The cover is also very practical, it has 4 handles for easy manoeuvring and has an anti-slip base, however, this part is not washable, so try only spill your coffee on top.
Eve Foam Layers
1. Evecomfort® Layer (4cm)
The top layer is what gives the mattress its bounce and breathability. This layer dissipates body heat in order to give you the ultimate sleeping climate. By using open-cell technology it is 30 times more breathable than conventional memory foam.
2. Transition Memory Foam Layer (3cm)
This layer actually contours the shape of your body and provides pressure relief all without that traditional sinking feeling. It is also strategically placed in the middle to transfer your body weight smoothly throughout the mattress so you get the benefits from all layers.
3. Dense Core Support Layer (17,5cm)
This is the support behind the whole mattress it ensures no sagging over time. It also has 7 unique contour zones which are slits that act as zoning to relieve pressure from the hips and shoulder areas for maximum comfort and keeping your spine always correctly aligned.
