In this EasySleep pillow review, we're checking out a newcomer on the pillow market that already has thousands of five-star reviews. Sleeping on a good pillow is something we all can benefit from and most people know that, theoretically. But buying a good pillow is often overlooked unless we already have pains in our cervical area or suffer from migraines or other types of headaches and are trying to find a solution to an already existing problem.

We tend to spend big money on getting a great mattress that aligns our spine to not have back problems further down the line, so why don't we do the same for our necks? The Easysleeper pillow has become extremely popular lately, especially amongst people who suffer from headaches or cervical problems thanks to its ergonomic shape and its ability to correct your posture while sleeping.

We decided to take a closer look at The Original Easysleeper to see what makes this pillow the talk of the town.

The Original Easysleeper Pillow Construction

The core of the Easy Sleep pillow is made almost entirely of memory foam. Memory foam pillows are known to mould to the sleeper's head and neck, providing support where needed while relieving pressure in high-pressure points. The memory foam used in the Easysleeper pillow is a bamboo charcoal-infused memory foam that is designed to allow for more breathability and to regulate the temperature of the pillow to protect the sleeper from feeling overheated at night.

Around the foam sits a layer of cotton fillings that adds to the comfort and breathability of the pillow. The Original Easysleeper is also anti-bacterial, meaning that it's designed to dissipate any moisture out of the pillow in order for bacteria to not get trapped inside the foam and no harmful chemicals have been used to make the foam.

Another positive effect due to the lack of chemicals is that the pillow doesn't smell nasty like some other memory foam pillows tend to do. Should it smell slightly when removing the packaging you are encouraged to let it air out for a few hours before using it and you should be good to go.

EasySleeper Pillow Cover

The cover of the Original EasySleeper pillow is a recyclable, quilted cover made of a polyester knit that is stretchy and soft to the touch. It features a full-length zipper made of recycled plastic which makes it easy to take the cover off the pillow and machine-wash it. You should not wash the pillow itself as this will harm the foam.

In order to keep your pillow and the cover protected and fresh longer you are encouraged to put on a pillowcase or a pillow protector. Any standard pillowcase will fit the Sleep Easy pillow and the brand also offers a few different options depending on your needs and preferences.

The Original EasySleeper Pillow Support & Comfort

The Easysleeper pillow from Sleep Easy comes in one firmness rating only which we would describe as a medium. The brand states that they are going for the "Goldilocks zone where the pillow is not too soft, not too hard, just right". The pillow has a standard-sized, rectangular shape with different ergonomic, concave parts for you to place your head in, depending on your preferred sleeping position.

The Original Easysleeper is designed to be used for back-sleeping or for side-sleeping. You can use it even if you're a front or stomach sleeper but the brand strongly discourages you from sleeping on your front as this can put a lot of strain on your spine and could be the whole reason behind your neck problems.

How To Use The EasySleeper Pillow Correctly

Start by placing your pillow flat on your mattress. You should use the Easy Sleeper pillow alone without any other pillows for best results and only use one Easy Sleeper per sleeper. The pillow is designed to support your head and neck while promoting spinal alignment. It can help reducing stiffness and tension and improve your posture.

Those sleeping on their backs should place their neck in the concave area in the middle of the pillow, which will slightly raise your head, following the natural curvation of the neck and the back of the head.

Side-sleepers are meant to place their cheeks in the contours towards the sides of the pillow, depending on which side they are sleeping on. This should allow your chin to be aligned with your chest and thus not putting additional strain on the cervical vertebrae.

Keep in mind:
You should feel that your spine is comfortably and naturally aligned when using the pillow. However, supportive sleeping can feel a bit unusual at first but research✓ says that it takes approximately 10 weeks to form a healthy habit. If you give yourself time to create the habit of sleeping with the Original Easysleeper pillow, your body might thank you for it.
