Ergoflex has been selling since 2006, which is that period twice over, and on a product you keep for eight years that is worth more than a spec sheet.
Buy it if
You want memory foam done properly from a company whose guarantee is a demonstrated behaviour rather than a stated intention.
Avoid it if
You sleep hot, or you need longer than thirty days to decide. Both are real limitations here.

The argument nobody makes for this brand
Every bed-in-a-box brand in Britain offers a ten year guarantee. Almost none of them have existed for ten years.
Emma launched in the UK in 2017. Simba in 2016. Otty in 2016. Origin more recently still. Each is promising to honour a claim in 2036 on the strength of a trading history shorter than the promise itself.
Ergoflex has been trading since 2006. That is the full guarantee period, twice over.
Brook + Wilde's liquidation in 2023 and Eve's administration in 2022 are what that risk looks like when it materialises. In both cases the guarantee document said one thing and the corporate reality said another.
This is also why the trial and guarantee score here is a 6 rather than a 4 despite the thirty day trial being the shortest on this site. A credible ten years partly offsets a short thirty days.
High density foam, and why Ergoflex publishes it
Ergoflex specifies high density visco-elastic foam in its comfort layer, which is unusual because most brands will not tell you anything about foam density at all.
Density is measured in kilograms per cubic metre and it is the best available predictor of how long a foam mattress holds its shape. Standard memory foam runs from around 16 to 80, with decent comfort layers between 48 and 72. Low density foam can develop body impressions within three to five years; high density foam holds considerably longer.
Foam cost is dominated by density, which is exactly why brands competing on price stay quiet about it. At the cheap end, silence is informative rather than neutral.
A brand that leads with density and backs it with eighteen years of trading is making a different argument from one that leads with layer counts and awards. I find the first more persuasive.
The thirty day problem
Thirty days is the shortest trial of any brand on this site and it is a genuine weakness rather than a quibble.
Two to four weeks is roughly how long your body takes to adapt when moving from a sagging mattress to a supportive one, and that adjustment often involves some discomfort before it improves. A thirty day trial ends almost exactly when you would be able to judge properly.
If you are confident memory foam is what you want, that matters less. If you are experimenting, buy something with a hundred nights or more: Nectar's 365 nights is the longest in the UK mainstream.
Should you buy memory foam at all?
Two honest reasons to say yes, and they are specific.
Motion isolation. Deep foam absorbs a restless partner's movement in a way no sprung mattress at any price matches, because there is no mechanical linkage between one part of the surface and another.
Pressure relief. Foam moulds around the shoulder and hip, which helps side sleepers who wake with numb arms or sore hips.
Two reasons to say no. It runs warm, and no cover treatment fixes that because heat needs airflow to leave and foam has almost none. And edge support is poor, because there is nothing structural at the perimeter.
If those two do not describe problems you have, foam is a legitimate choice and Ergoflex is the brand I would take. If they do, buy a hybrid.

Ten year mattress guarantees are compared across brands as though they are equivalent promises, and the length tells you nothing without the trading history behind it. A ten year guarantee from a company founded in 2017 is a promise about 2027 from an entity with no record of honouring anything at that horizon. Should you buy it?
Yes if you specifically want memory foam and you already know it suits you. It is the most credible brand in that category in Britain and the only one whose guarantee has an actual track record behind it.
