So a DreamCloud versus Nectar article is not shopping around, it is choosing between two ranges from one manufacturer. Prices on both sides of that comparison are set by the same people.
This is not hidden and it is not a scandal. Multi-brand strategies are normal across retail. It is worth knowing because the comparison content built around it implies a choice that does not really exist.

Simba's Hybrid Essential does this at £549 and scores 5.2. Nectar's Classic does it at £299. DreamCloud's Hybrid does it at £349.
The consequence for you is simple. When a range has an obvious step up, compare the entry model against other brands rather than against the model above it, because the internal comparison is designed rather than accidental.
Note that the Nectar Classic Hybrid at £299 gives you the same group trial for fifty pounds less than the DreamCloud Hybrid. Within one company, that is a straightforward saving.
Which DreamCloud, if any?
The Luxury Hybrid if you want a DreamCloud. It is the properly built one in the range.
